The Cape Cod Children’s Museum lights up the night with their first annual multi-media display of holiday lights! The enchanting display can be found at 577 Great Neck Road in Mashpee. This is a great way to enjoy the lights and ambiance of the holiday season from the comfort and warmth of your own car, and will be sure to dazzle visitors of all ages.
This festive collection of holiday lights and blow-up decorations was formerly displayed every year at the Red Brook Road residence of Gary Guidi. Thanks to his generous donation, the Cape Cod Children’s Museum Lights will be on display every Friday and Saturday night until Christmas.
The lights were relocated from the Red Brook location to the Children’s Museum with a gallant community effort, including volunteers from the Mashpee-Middle Highschool and the St John Paul II School. Volunteers transported the lights to there new home and many hands were onboard to install the display all around the museum’s exterior to create a drive-thru experience.
The museum has worked hard to keep this as a free public event but are accepting donations to help offset the expenses. Elves will be available at the end of the display to collect donations from those who are so inclined. Your contribution will be counted towards a $40,000 matching grant that the museum has received to build a new exhibit.
