In Plymouth, MA, the Christmas season kicks off on December 3rd and includes many events suited for both children and adults.

1. Kiwanis Christmas Tree Lighting

2. 10th Annual Winter Lights 5k

  • Date: 12/3
  • Time: 6:15 pm – 6:30 pm
  • Location: Main St., Downtown Plymouth, MA.
  • Cost: Free

Don’t miss out on the community kick-off of the Christmas in Historic Plymouth Celebration! Not only does this event feature a parade and marching band, when Santa Claus lights the tree the 10th annual Winter Lights 5k begins!

This race begins at the intersection of Brewster and Russel St. to take you on a magical run through downtown and alongside the waterfront.

Whether you’re a walker, runner, or are just there to see Santa, this event is the complete package to start off your Holiday Season with cheer!

Please note: Running strollers are welcome however we ask you to start in the back. No dogs allowed.

3. Plymouth Holiday Market

  • Date: 12/5
  • Time: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Location: Plymouth Memorial Hall
  • Cost: Free

Highlighting seventy-five local vendors this Holiday Market has a wide variety of handmade items ranging from jewelry, home goods, and specialty desserts. Not only will you be guaranteed to find gifts for those on your list, but you will be supporting local businesses in the community!

4. Plymouth North High School: 2nd Annual Holiday Lights

  • Date: 12/11
  • Time: 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
  • Location: Plymouth North High School
  • Cost: $10 per car. Venmo is available.

Come support your Plymouth North Eagles by enjoying a mesmerizing holiday light display from the warmth and comfort of your car. This fundraiser is an excellent opportunity to experience some holiday cheer while giving back to the community.

5. Holiday Pops 2021

  • Date: 12/11 – 12/12
  • Time: 3:00 pm & 7:30 pm (12/11)
    3:00 pm (12/12)
  • Location: Memorial Hall, Plymouth MA.
  • Cost: Varies by a seat.

Come sit back and let the sounds of Christmas fill your ears! This show features heavenly vocals from Kristen Watson (Soprano) and Matthew Anderson (Tenor) as they perform songs from the Broadway musical, White Christmas.

In addition, Plymouth Community’s Intermediate Schools 6th graders will be performing songs with the orchestra from Christmas classics such as Home Alone.

Note: Embrace the season of giving with Santa as he collects toys for the March of Toys community collection.

6. A Holiday Show with Storm Large

  • Date: 12/17
  • Time: 7:00 pm
  • Location: 25 ½ Court St. Plymouth, MA.
  • Cost: $40-$45

Storm Large was shot into fame after being eliminated in the last round of the CBS hit show, Rock Star: Supernova. Despite being eliminated, Storm has a devout fan base that has followed her singing career around the country. She will be in Plymouth with her new band, The Balls, performing many holiday classics.

7. Hometown Holiday Marketplace

  • Date: 12/19
  • Time: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Location: Mayflower Brewing Company, Plymouth, MA.
  • Cost: Free

What’s better than doing some Christmas shopping while enjoying a delightful craft beer? Not much! Mayflower Brewing will be your one-stop-shop for supporting locals as you browse the selection of local vendors’ handmade gifts while sipping a cold brew.

8. Santa on the Farm

  • Date: 12/4
  • Time: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (must choose a time slot)
  • Location: Hidden Acres Homestead, Plymouth, MA.
  • Cost: $25 / family

Join Santa and all the fuzzy animals on the farm while sipping some hot cocoa and browsing for unique holiday gifts! In addition to admission, your ticket purchase includes a digital download of your professional photo with Santa and a free gift per child.

9. Magic Treehouse and Cosmic Christmas

  • Date: 12/14
  • Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Location: Blake Planetarium at Plymouth Community Intermediate School
  • Cost: $7

This two-program Holiday presentation features Christmas shows, Magic Tree House: Space Mission, and Cosmic Christmas.

These programs are directly suited for kids to invite them into the world of science and wonder while tying it all together with a Christmas bow.
