International Film Nights are Back!

Film nights are back at the library on Thursdays. Every week, we’ll be showing stellar, award-winning international films from recent years. Coffee, tea, and dessert will be served.

Sept 19th – “The Taste of the Thing”- Set in France in 1889, this delicious love story follows the life of Dodin Bouffant as a chef living with his personal cook and lover, Eugénie. They share a long history of gastronomy and love, but Eugénie refuses to marry Dodin, so the food lover decides to do something he has never done before: cook for her.

Sept 26th – “Perfect Days” -Hirayama feels content with his life as a toilet cleaner in Tokyo, Japan. Outside of his structured routine, he leads a tranquil life, cherishing music on cassette tapes, reading books, and taking photos. Through unexpected encounters, he reflects on himself and his place in the world.

Oct 3rd – ” Amerikatsi” – In 1948, Charlie returns to Armenia after escaping to the US as a young boy during the Armenian genocide.
