In some situations, the teams may ask for donations as the door or they will offer raffles to raise money for the league.

In most situations, the Cape Cod venue plays host to the games but on occasion, Fenway Park might also host games. The all-star game places the all-star East Division playing against the all-star West Division.
As the season winds down, the top eight teams (each division has four) will go on to the playoffs. The playoffs will determine the league champion through the process of elimination by having three rounds of the best-of-three series. After the playoffs, the team that wins takes home the Arnold Mycock trophy.
History of the Cape League
The history of the Cape Cod Baseball League is impressive and dates all the way back to the 1860s. The teams were named Canalmen, Townies, and Clouters. They included Cape Cod residents who enjoyed the sport and liked to play each summer.
In 1963, the NCAA sanctioned the leagues and the club was able to recruit leading college players from across the country. Since those days, players from a multitude of states come to live with host families and play in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League.
What is Unique about the Cape Cod Baseball League?
The players use wood bats instead of aluminum. It’s not easy to see just how a hitter performs using an aluminum bat because they have a large acceptable hitting area and do not break. The use of wood bats gives a player a new hitting experience and lets the hitting leaders truly shine.
Over 1,400 players have joined the Cape League over the years and that number continues to grow. A few stand-out Cape League players include:
