In this monthly segment we will introduce you to a non-profit organization, local initiative, or small business on Cape Cod or the Islands that is doing work that benefits the community. The region is fortunate to have so many wonderful groups doing great work on a wide range of important issues.
There are nonprofits working to protect vulnerable species, combat environmental threats, and preserve land. There are businesses working to reduce waste and educate visitors on the environmental threats to Cape Cod. A number of organizations strive to help with social issues including help for people in the region experiencing homelessness or in need of food assistance. Others offer community art programs and help those with disabilities.
