There’s a newcomer to the packed Provincetown event schedule this year: The Provincetown Food and Wine Festival. The Provincetown Food and Wine Festival’s inaugural run kicks off on November 4th and will go until November 7th with a wide range of events celebrating the local food and great wine available in Provincetown! If you’re coming to the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival from out of town, be sure to enjoy the offseason rates at local inns. Parking in town is also free after November 1st. Tickets are on sale now!

Join the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival from three to six pm for the first event of the weekend.

The Uncorked Opening Reception will take place at the Masthead Resort & Cottages on Provincetown’s West End. You’re sure to enjoy gazing out over the harbor at sunset, sipping fine wines and a great spread of food under the tent. The event is catered by Liz of Angel Foods with wines from the Jean-Claude Boisset Collection.
Friday November 5th at the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival
On Friday the events really get going!
Visit The Post Office Cafe for A Taste of Tuscany. This Tuscan wine tasting, and seminar takes place from 12pm-1pm. Guests will learn about the wines of Tuscany in an informal lecture by The Wine Chemist. You’re sure to pick up some great tips for wine tasting and selection. Consider staying after the event to enjoy lunch at the Post Office Cafe as well!
From 1 pm to 4 pm on Friday the Shop and Gallery Stroll will happen. It’s a perfect way to get out and about, while enjoying art, wine, and great company. Stop at the welcome center at the Post Office Cafe Box Office for a list of all the participating galleries and shops, and then set off on your stroll. Enjoy sampling a selection of wines at galleries and shops, while appreciating the works and wares on display. Some of the participants include The William Scott Gallery, The School House Gallery, Rice Polak Gallery, On Center Gallery, and Coffey Men.
From 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday stop by The Pilgrim House- The Landing for an Afternoon Tasting and Special. This informal happy your celebrates new and old-world wines with light fare from The Pilgrim House. The new world wines will be from the Duckhorn Collection. There will also be live entertainment!
At 7 pm on Friday there are two dinner options for festival goers. You can join Strangers & Saints for Under the Tuscan Moon, a night of Italian fine wine and dinner. The intimate gathering of food and wine will be guided by expert Jessica Brennan. The meal will be a 4-course dinner with food from chefs Fred Latasa-Nicks and Matt Forant.
The second dinner, also at 7 pm, is an Amalfi Coast Wine Dinner. This event is held at the Tin Pan Alley. Five wines selected by Italian wine specialist Ciro Pirone will be poured, paired with a meal featuring the flavors of the Amalfi coast.
Saturday November 6th at the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival
Saturday at the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival is also packed with great events! If you’re looking for a break from wine, stop by the Provincetown Brewing Co for some food and beer pairings. This event has seatings at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm for tastings of flights of beer and craft grilled cheese! There will also be live music!
From one pm to four pm the Grand Tasting will take place at the Provincetown Town Hall. The event features dozens of vendors, suppliers, and distributors, as well as a range of winemakers and wineries. The grand tasting will feature wines from local vineyards, well known wines, and unique varieties!
The VIP tasting, A Taste of Heaven, will run from three to five. This exclusive event will be held at Cafe Heaven and will feature high rated wines, light fare, and limited tickets!
The Winemakers Dinner will be held at The Crown and Anchor Restaurant. Beginning at 6 pm with a reception and dinner at 7 pm the event will feature Remy Wines, and dinners will be joined by Remy Drabkin herself! There will be live entertainment after dinner.
Sunday November 7th at the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival
On the final day of the Provincetown Food and Wine Festival, enjoy the Champagne Drag Brunch at The Pilgrim House from 12pm to 2 pm. Enjoy a tasting flight followed by drag performances. There will be a unique brunch menu and endless mimosas.
On Sunday afternoon, stop by Saints and Strangers from 1pm to 3pm to celebrate Women in Food and Wine. You’ll be able to meet the women of the Outer Cape who are chefs, wine makers, business owners, and more! Enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres and appetizers. There’s also local beer on tap if you’re looking for a non-wine option!
