Wings Neck Lighthouse

Wings Neck Lighthouse is the perfect spot to add both a romantic and historical twist to your Cape Cod vacation without sacrificing a coastal location and view. This historical beacon on the coast of Pocasset is available for weekly rental throughout the year. Yes, you and your family can spend a week (or a long weekend beginning November 1st) in an actual Cape Cod lightkeeper’s home.
It is named ‘Wings Neck’ because it is located at the tip of the Wings Neck Point in Cape Cod’s village of Pocasset. The lighthouse was operational in 1849 and 1945 but then deactivated. Newly renovated in 2003, it opened for families or couples to vacation in a Cape Cod Lighthouse.
Not only is the lightkeepers home fully equipped with all the amenities you need on vacation, plus you will also have access to a secluded beach and outdoor shower. The adjoining lighthouse is also accessible during your stay, so you can climb up the mahogany spiral staircase into the lighthouse tower to enjoy the stellar views. You can enjoy swimming, fishing or just lounging at the beach to watch the boats sailing on the Cape Cod canal.

Race Point Lighthouse

For the adventurous traveler who wants to venture off the beaten track, a stay at Race Point Lighthouse in Provincetown can provide a uniquely memorable experience. The most remote one of all the Cape Cod lighthouses, this lighthouse is almost a 2-mile hike from Race Point Beach or accessible by a four-wheel drive vehicle with an OTR permit.
Race Point Lighthouse is maintained by the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, a non-profit that aims to educate the tourists about its rich history. The non-profit also provides transportation to the lighthouse and offers tours from June through October.
Both the Keeper’s House and Whistle House are available for overnight stays in single rooms or renting the entire house to enjoy a peaceful and charming getaway.
