Being among the earliest communities established in North America, Cape Cod is the perfect backdrop for antiquing. The area is home to dozens of shops ranging from multi-vendor bazaars to cozy family-run boutiques in historic homes. Cape Cod antique shops welcome buyers, sellers, collectors and browsers. From fine and historically important antiques to collectible home décor and gifts, there is something for everyone. If you’re shopping in Cape Cod for furniture, you’ll find true antiques and vintage furniture as well as repurposed items. Several locations feature mesmerizing collections of American and European art glass, vintage Venetian glass, and time-weathered mirrors. For the investment-savvy there’s sterling and coin silver, estate jewelry, or military and nautical paraphernalia. From antique clocks to vinyl records, the past is alive and well in Cape Cod!
Upper Cape Cod Antique ShopsThe Upper Cape region has a nice variety of shops. In Sagamore, Ship & Shore features nautical, marine and beach themes while Brian Cullity American Antiques celebrates the early history of America with American antiques, furniture, ceramics, glass, metal, and wooden pieces. In Bourne, Buzzards Bay Antiques offers thousands of items from multiple vendors under one roof including an array of collectibles, furniture, jewelry, and clothing. In Sandwich, the Antiques Center offers furniture, art and collectibles from local vendors and artisans. Paul Madden Antiques has an enormous inventory of americana, and historical antiques & coins, and buys and sells collectible items with historical significance. Home Again, in Falmouth, has antiques, vintage clothing, and local artwork. Atlantic Dry Goods offers a carefully selected collection of vintage treasures, handmade arts and crafts, and painted furniture, and Jacqueline’s Gifts & Antiques has home goods, crafts, and antique treasures. And over in Mashpee, The Silver Lady Antiques features antique silver flatware, serving pieces, decor, and jewelry.
Mid Cape Cod Antique ShopsIn the Mid Cape region, Barnstable, Yarmouth and Dennis offer more antique shops. Barnstable brings us Cape Cod treasures like Sow’s Ear Antique Company with an assortment of vintage items displayed in an historic 18th century house and its beautiful gardens. Atomic Dime store specializes in collectibles from the 1940s to 1970s including toys, comics, lunchboxes, home accessories, and vintage clothing. Edythe & Company is a quaint little shop with antique home decor and collectible garden pieces, and Barnstable Stove Shop has a fascinating collection of antique wood burning stoves and baseburners. Up in Dennis, look for West Dennis Antiques, East Dennis Antiques, The Antiques Center of Cape Cod and Dennisport Main Street Antiques Center for huge selections of furniture, art, dolls, clocks, books, and more. Or, for something different, The Village Peddler Clock Shop has vintage timepieces. Gatherings by the Sea has clothing local crafts, and The Cape House display of antiques in a quaint cape house.
Lower and Outer Cape Cod Antique ShopsFor the Lower and Outer Cape, visit shops in Chatham, Brewster, and Provincetown for some fabulous antiquing. In Chatham, Kahn Fine Antiques specializes in rare antiques, fine art, and historical items, Monomoy Salvage Antiques & Gifts sells unique collectibles including toys, nautical instruments, and weathervanes, and Maps of Antiquity specializes in antique and reproduction maps, prints, charts, and postcards. In Brewster, Wisteria Antiques offers collectible porcelain, glass, and jewelry in a beautiful Victorian house, Wayne’s Antiques has a sizable inventory of antique furniture, decor, toys, and nautical items, and Mews at Brewster Antiques has glassworks, whale oil lamps, baskets, and artwork. Up in Provincetown, Yesterday’s Treasures offers great deals on art, jewelry and décor, Scott Dinsmore Antiques is a quaint antique shop right on the harbor, and September Morn Fine Estate Jewelry offers a wide variety of antique, costume, gold, and silver pieces.
Island Antique ShopsOn Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, there are more antiquing gems. In Edgartown, Past & Presents has vintage art, textiles, furniture, and décor. In Oak Bluffs, Tuckernuck Antiques specializes in vintage and antique items from Martha’s Vineyard including souvenirs, postcards, maps, and more.
